Fast Start Propels France 22 July 2008
France scored the game's first 17 points as they cruised to a 90-44 demolition of Bulgaria.

Diandra Tchatchouang filled the stats sheet with 13 points, six rebounds, three blocks and two assists as Les Bleus remained unbeaten (4-0) in the competition to top Group F in the Qualifying Round.

Tchatchouang and AllisonVernerey combined for the first dozen points before their team-mates joined in on a balanced scoring act to record their fourth 30-plus point win in a row.

Bulgaria got their first points of the night with just under three minutes left in the opening period and, even though they eventually got into their offense and showed some scoring punch, it proved to be a case of too little too late as Gregory Halin's girls took a 47-25 lead at half time.

The loss was the third in a row for minnows Bulgaria who haven't won since edging out Belarus 69-62 on opening day.

France captain Vernerey finished with 14 points and seven rebounds while Laurie Datchy added 11 points and the pair of Pauline Thizy and Betina Kadila chipped in with 10 each.

Bulgaria were led by Stanislava Stankova's 15 points.
